Email Logs: see every email your site sent
"I never got my confirmation." With Email Logs you can check in ten seconds whether it was sent, when, and whether it was delivered, and resend it if needed.
Where it is
Under Messaging (SMS & Email) in the side menu, click Email Logs.
What it shows
Every email your site sent, including bulk sends: who it went to, which kind of email, when, and whether it was delivered, skipped or failed. A recipient who is inactive shows as skipped rather than failed.
Finding one email
Filter by customer, by email type, by status, or by text in the subject or body. Combine filters to narrow a long list.
Resending in bulk
Bulk send controls sit behind a Bulk Actions switch on the page, so they stay out of the way until you need them.
Resending one email
Open the email in the log to resend it. Resending needs the Admin Email Resend toggle on the Features page.
The emails your site sends
Every one of these shows in Email Logs.
- Orders: the order confirmation, the order completed email, a failed order, and a new-order notice to your team. The confirmation and the new-order notice show the delivery or shipping address saved on the order, and the confirmation adds the customer's delivery instructions on a local delivery. Times show in your site's time zone. On a menu grouped by week, the emails show each week and each meal's day.
- Pending and plan orders: a pending order created, the early notice before it finalizes, and pending order reminders.
- Meal plans: the plan confirmation, a new plan, each renewal, a failed renewal, a canceled plan, and a plan that has used up its commitment.
- Payments: the payment confirmation, a new-payment notice, and Billing Update Required when a card needs the customer's attention.
- Gift cards: the purchase confirmation to the buyer, and the card itself to the recipient.
- Accounts: the account set-up and welcome emails, and a notice when account details change.
- Your team: contact form messages, and a monthly summary of spam checks.
- Text messages, to your team: SMS turned off, a send refused for low credits, credits that do not cover a scheduled send, a failed charge for SMS use, and a weekly message skipped because no menu takes orders.
Some you send on demand. On a customer's page under Customers > Lookup / Manage, Send Email has Password Reset, Enroll, Missing Payment, Welcome and Early Notice. Delivery confirmations go out from the Delivery Confirmation page.
Good to know
- All customer emails use one base template, so they look the same.
