How a customer can view and print their orders
"Did my order go through?" "What did I get last week?" Your customers can answer both on their own. Every order they place, and every order still waiting to be placed, sits on their account page, ready to check, print or cancel.
Customers find it on their account page under My Orders.
What customers see
Pending orders come first. A pending order is one that is not placed yet: a cart they have not checked out, or a plan order waiting for its finalize date. Each shows a Pending badge, the delivery or pickup details, the meals, and, for a plan order, the date it finalizes.
Past orders come next, one at a time. The arrow buttons at the top page back through older orders, and View Pending Orders jumps back to the pending ones. Each past order shows its number, the delivery or pickup details, the meals, the totals and how it was paid. Its status reads Order Placed until it is marked done, then a completed label such as Fulfilled.
Meal details are one click away. On any order, each meal line's name opens that meal's details, also for a meal you no longer sell.
Printing an order
Every order, pending or past, has a Print button. It prints a receipt with your company name, the order number and date (or, for a pending order, the date it was started), the delivery or pickup details, every item, and the totals. Handy for a customer who likes a paper copy on the fridge, or who needs one for their expense report.
Changing or canceling a pending order
A pending order has buttons of its own:
- Continue Order (or Edit Plan Order for a plan order) opens the order page to change it.
- Finalize Now charges and places a plan order right away, while its menu is still open. It is a plan setting that we set up with you.
- Cancel Order depends on the order type. For a regular order, the customer confirms and the pending order is deleted. For a plan order, the customer confirms and that week is skipped: the plan stays active and renews as usual next time.
Seeing it as your customer does
On the phone with a customer who cannot find their order? Impersonate them and open their account page. You see exactly what they see, with the same buttons, so you can print the receipt or cancel the pending order together. See How to impersonate a customer.
To print packing slips for many orders at once, use the Reports page instead. See How to print orders, packing slips and labels.
