Site content: your pages, words and pictures

Your site is your shop window. Everything a visitor reads and sees, from the home page headline to your refund terms, is yours to shape from the admin. No developer, no waiting. This article is the map; each part links to its own step-by-step guide.

Where it lives

Most of it is under Content in the sidebar. Pictures are under Images, and colors under Manage Site > Site Theme.

Pages and navigation

  • Pages: switch optional pages on and off, and open any page in the page editor to change its copy and where its link shows.
  • Links: menu items that point outside your site, such as Instagram or a catering form.
  • Navigation: the order of everything in your header, footer, dropdown and top bar.

A quick site check-up

Once a season, walk your site as a new customer would:

  1. Read the home page headline. Does it say what you do and where?
  2. Open the About page. Is the story current?
  3. Check the banner message and the FAQ for anything out of date.
  4. Read your refund terms. Do they match what you actually do?
  5. Look at your newest testimonial and blog post. Are they from this year?
