How to set up your FAQ page

Your customers have questions: when is the cutoff, do you deliver to my street, can I freeze the meals? An FAQ page answers them before they reach you, and search engines index it, so more people find your site.

Your FAQ has two parts: the page itself, under Content > Pages, and the questions, under Content > FAQ Sections.

Turning on the page

Go to Content > Pages. Under Optional Pages, switch on Frequently Asked Questions. Where the page shows in your navigation is set in the page editor; see The page editor: your pages, links and navigation.

Adding questions

Questions are grouped in sections, such as "Ordering", "Delivery" and "Storing your meals".

  1. Go to Content > FAQ Sections and click New FAQ Section.
  2. Enter the FAQ Section Heading and click Add & Edit.
  3. Click Add a question, then fill in the Question Heading and the Answer. Repeat for each question.
  4. Switch on Active (Published) and click Update.

Back on the FAQ Sections page, use the up and down arrows to put the sections in order, then click Save Order Changes. Reset Changes throws away an order you have not saved.

To remove a section from your FAQ page, open it and switch off Active (Published). The change saves at once.

Refresh your FAQ page to see the result.

Tips

  • Start with the five questions you answer most by email. Those are your FAQ.
  • Keep answers short, and link to the page that has the detail, such as your delivery areas or your terms.
  • Update it with the seasons: holiday cutoffs and closures belong here too.
