How to add nutrition fact documents to meals
A nutrition fact document is a file you already have or can make once: a fact sheet with the nutrition details of a meal or of every meal on the menu. Calories, protein, carbs, fat, allergens, dietary notes, whatever your customers ask about. Attach it to a meal and customers open it from the menu, so the "is this gluten free?" email answers itself.
Turning it on
Nutrition Fact Files is listed under Active Features or Disabled Features on the Features page, and we turn it on per site.
Adding a document
- Go to Content > Nutrition Docs, click New Nutrition Fact, give it a title, for example "Spring Menu Nutrition Facts", and click Add & Edit.
- Under File, upload the document. A PDF works well.
- Choose where it shows: Show on menu puts a link on your order page, and Show on meals adds it to every meal's details. Keep Active ticked, and click Update.
One document serves your whole menu, so a single menu-wide sheet is enough. Untick Active to take it down.
When the numbers change with the order
For custom meals where the customer picks the protein and the sides, a fixed sheet cannot keep up. Use dynamic macros instead, which calculate the totals from the customer's choices. See How to configure dynamic macros for custom meals.
