The page editor: your pages, links and navigation
Your site's pages are yours to shape. Turn pages on and off, rewrite their copy, add links to your Instagram or your catering menu, and put everything in the order you want across the header, footer and top bar. No developer needed.
Everything here lives under Content in the sidebar: Pages, Links and Navigation.
Content > Pages: every page on your site
The Pages list has three groups:
- Optional Pages: pages you can switch on and off yourself, such as the FAQ page. Flip the switch and confirm.
- Active Pages: pages your site always has, like the menu and the account page.
- Disabled Pages: pages that are not on for your site. See How to turn on features for your site.
Each page shows its address, which opens the live page, and an (edit) link that opens the page editor.
Editing a page
The page editor has three parts. Click a heading to open it.
- Visibility & Navigation. Active shows or hides the page. Show in Header, Show in Footer, Show in Dropdown and Show in Topbar decide where its link appears.
- Related Admin Settings. Direct links to the settings that shape this page, so you do not have to hunt for them. See How to edit admin settings.
- Content Sections. The words and blocks on the page. Each section starts on our default copy, shown so you can read it. Tick Use Custom Value to write your own: a rich text editor for paragraphs, a simple box for a heading or a button label, or a switch for a section you can turn on or off.
Some pages have their own editor for their items, such as FAQ sections or blog posts. The page editor shows a Custom edit page link to it.
Click Update to save. Your site picks up the change within seconds; when the update banner appears, refresh to see it.
Content > Links: links to anywhere
Links are menu items that point outside your site: your Instagram, a catering form, a partner's shop. Click New Link and fill in:
- Name and URL.
- Active, and Open in a new tab.
- Show in Header, Show in Footer, Show in Dropdown, Show in Topbar.
The list shows where each link appears, and marks inactive ones.
Content > Navigation: put it all in order
Navigation has a tab for each place: Header, Footer, Dropdown and Topbar. Each tab lists the pages and links set to show there. Use the arrows to move them up and down, then Save Changes. Reset Changes undoes what you have not saved.
On the Header tab, a logo row splits the list: items above it sit left of your logo, items below sit right of it.
To add or remove an item from a place, open the page or link and change its Show in switches. Navigation changes reach the site within seconds.
